What struck me today was that Hans Christian Anderson was writing stories during this time. I enjoyed the story. I wonder what Hans Christian might have been trying to say...were there political and religious messages that he might have been sending? Could there be something we could take out of his story for this time of history around the Civil War?I wonder... any thoughts?
